Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin popular music scene has been affected through his worldwide impact. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, won the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Best Song. The year 2017 saw the release of ADN, his first long-player to La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The album reached number 8 in the Top Latin Albums Chart. In the following year, he collaborated with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca that climbed to number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. Mala Influencia came out as his collaborative effort with Noriel in the year 2020. The following year, Dopamina was his follow-up album. He appeared later in 2021 on a duet TINI on her streaming hit single Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was made available in 2023. Turizo is a musician born into a musical family. His mother and brother were both musicians. In interviews, he referred to his participation in music as compulsory. As a child he learned to play the saxophone and as well as piano and ukulele. While his initial career goal was that of veterinarian, his brother Julian encouraged him to start studying singing with an instructor in Cuban. This revolutionized his entire life.
