Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. She was raised listening to traditional, old boleros as well as traditional ranchero, romantic as well as romance ballads. Ana loves tangos as well as opera and various dramatic kinds. She began singing and learning the piano with her mom, then began more intense singing training when she was sixteen with world-renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and then with the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera chamber and choruses. After relocating back to The United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her home in southern California. She also sings in solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. The passion and love she has for performing, painting, as well as performing, keeps her active in numerous local organizations as a performer, teacher, and instructor. Ana was also part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently an instructor at The Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege being able be able to share her love of the traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will inspire younger generations to keep this music in the present.
